Permit tests are created by a state’s DMV (Department Of Motor Vehicles). Everyone who wants to drive a vehicle has to pass practice permit test. DMV test is usually a written exam and it consists of 20-36 questions on basic driving rules and skills. Some special details can be determined in any state. After successful DMV driving permit test examination it is allowed to operate a motorized vehicle.
Usually teens pass their practice permit test after graduating of a state-certified driver education school. But you can not to visit Driver’s School. Just get to DMV office and get free Driver’s Handbook and learn it by yourself. It’s not so hard as it seems.

Q1. How is taking the Permit test?
I’m going to take the Massachusetts permit test this Tuesday. How are the questions? Easy? Is it something I need to study really hard for? I’m kind of nervous about it. :/
A1. My daughter just took the test in NY, a few questions about alcohol levels, road signs, and when you want to pass someone, you go to the LEFT around them. Here we have a study booklet and there were online questions. Look on MA DMV site and see if there are review questions. Good luck!
Q2. Can I switch my motorcycle permit to a driver’s permit?
A2. No you can not. But if you are 18 and pass the written test you can take your road test any time you feel ready.
Q3. How to take written driver’s test?
I know how but how do you get the book to study? I’m still 15 and turning 16 in a couple of months and I want to go in on my 16th birthday and get my permit. Is there anyway I can get an online booklet? live in New york. Can I get a booklet early? I have one of my mom’s booklet from a year ago but I’m sure some things could be out of date. And do I schedule the appointment or anything? I need to know EVERYTHING. Thanks!
A3. If you already have a booklet from a year ago then it is pretty recent. Basic driving laws dont really change every year so you can use your moms booklet to study. If you stop by the dmv office you may be able to pick up a new book but I dont think that is necessary. Just study from your mom’s booklet.
